CLOVEN HOOF: 'Throne Of Damnation' EP Now Available
January 7, 2010NWOBHM legends CLOVEN HOOF have decided to release a five-song EP entitled "Throne Of Damnation" by popular demand. It will contain three new songs — "Prime Time", "Running Man" and "Freak Show" — along with reworked versions of "Whore of Babylon" and "Night Stalker", the latter of which is featured on the Brütal Legend game.
The EP is available as a limited run only. The first 500 copies will be on sale at a special price of £5.00, including postage and packing. Order a copy at this location.
Vocalist Russ North announced in October that he was leaving CLOVEN HOOF to pursue a solo singing career away from heavy metal.
CLOVEN HOOF members Lee Payne (bass),Jon Brown (drums) and Ben Read (guitar) are in pre-production for their next album with producer Tom Galley (PHENOMENA). It is scheduled for release in the spring of 2010 and will be CLOVEN HOOF's "darkest and most epic-like opus yet," according to a posting on the band's web site.
CLOVEN HOOF last year announced the addition of guitarist Mick Powell to the group's ranks. He made his live debut with the band at the Rock of Ages festival in Belgium on October 17, 2009.
CLOVEN HOOF re-recorded 24 of its classic songs for a two-part "best-of" compilation, "The Definitive Part One" and "The Definitive Part Two".
